With the Easter holidays approaching we’ve been getting excited about Easter and have started doing our Easter crafts for this year. Looking through last weeks linky it looks like we aren’t the only ones so this week I’m sharing some fun Easter Egg Crafts for Preschoolers that were linked up last week!
Easy Easter Sensory Bin for Toddlers
Up until now I’ve avoided making a sensory bin for my children at all. I love looking at ideas for activities for toddlers and sensory play but sometimes I can feel a bit overwhelmed by it and like I have to produce something amazing otherwise my kids won’t like it. Sometimes though the simple ideas can be the best. During a playdate the other week my four year old son and his friend were busy being four year olds and as such, my one year old daughter and her two year old friend needed occupying. I put together this simple Easter sensory bin for toddlers in about two minutes and they loved it!
What is Baby Led Weaning and Is It Right For Your Family?
Baby Led Weaning is loved by many parents as the easy way to feed their kids, other parents find it tricky to think of ideas for baby led weaning meals that the whole family can eat. As the mum of two kids I feel like I’ve tried every approach to finding out the best way to encourage my kids to eat healthy food. My eldest (my son) tried homemade purees, shop bought purees, finger foods and a bit of baby led weaning. He wasn’t too fussed by anything. My daughter refused to go anywhere near a spoon and so baby led weaning was the only option. From my experience there are pros and cons to both ways of feeding your babies so I thought I would put together what I learnt on my baby feeding journey!
Mothers Day at Brewers Fayre Southend
When I was asked if we’d like to review the new Brewers Fayre in Southend this Mothers Day I jumped at the chance. Of course in theory my kids spend the whole of Mothers Day prepping a lovely meal for me but actually at one and four the best I’m going to get is a biscuit. This way I could relax while someone else shopped, cooked and cleaned up afterwards. The Brewers Fayre in Southend has only been open a few weeks and this was our first visit to it, here’s what we thought!
DIY Teacup Planter
Do you spend more time doing housework than you’d like to? Yep, me too. Not a fan. But next to the sink in my kitchen is a little windowsill that gets a bit of light, and I thought to myself what would be a simple way to make the most of what’s around me and turn this forgotten little space into a source of brightness. I was asked by Twinings to share how I experience the most from my day and I thought what could be better than popping a little DIY teacup planter on there to spread a bit of happiness! I love DIY teacup crafts as they’re a great way to use up a bit of vintage crockery and they remind me to put the kettle on when I need a bit of me time!
