Build a Caterpillar Craft
Between spring crafts, learning about the caterpillar life cycle and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, caterpillar crafts are really popular and this paper craft is a fun way that you can make your own caterpillar at home or in classrooms.
In the PDF file for this craft you’ll find two pages, the first is the caterpillar itself while the second is an outline of a branch with flowers on it that you can stick your completed caterpillar on if you would like.

Cut Out Caterpillar Craft
To start with you need to print your PDF out onto white paper. If you are only using the caterpillar itself then obviously you will only need to print out the first page but if you are also using the branch then print out both.
Color in all the parts of your caterpillar and the background page if you are using this.
Following the dotted lines on the printable carefully cut out all the separate parts of your caterpillar.
Glue the six body parts together. You can refer to the picture of the caterpillar at the top right hand corner of the printable to ensure that you are sticking everything in the right place.
Glue the caterpillars eyes onto it’s face following the guidelines on the printable and glue the tentacles to the back of it’s head before gluing the caterpillar’s head onto it’s body.
Stick three of the legs onto the front of the caterpillar’s body and then flip your craft over so that you can stick the remaining three onto the back of it’s body.
If you’d like you can now stick your completed caterpillar craft onto its branch.
