The sun is out and the holidays are edging ever closer which means that I’m allowing myself to share this round up of summer crafts for toddlers – hurray! We love sharing easy craft ideas that you can do with your kids and while summer is the perfect opportunity to get outside and play sometimes it’s also nice to have a few easy crafts as a back up if you need a bit of chill out time at home (or *whispers* if the weather is less than awesome) In this round up you’ll find lots of sun crafts, flowers, watermelons and loads more easy toddler crafts to keep you both happy….
My daughter and I had so much fun last week making these sweet nature butterfly craft! It was a great excuse for us to spend some time together out in the garden looking at all the plants and deciding which were our favourites. We both made a butterfly craft and it was a really nice activity to spend some time together. Using things we found in our garden and our free butterfly template also mean that that was a really cheap activity too!
Gone camping recently? Going camping? We love camping as a family, it’s a great way to rest, recharge and have some fun together! These camping crafts for kids are the perfect way to keep that excitement going and with ideas including making tents, campfires and lanterns there’s plenty to keep the kids busy.
I love dragonflies, my kids do too. They’re pretty rare for us to find and they always seem kind of other worldly. If like us you’re unlikely to find one the moment you pop outside then fear not, you can make your own with this free dragonfly template that’s perfect for kids art and crafts. I’ve also got ideas on how you can use and decorate your template and you’ll also find details of more free templates for kids crafts that you can find on this site….
I have to admit that I’ve become a bit obsessed with camping crafts recently and this campfire craft is the result of that! I think it’s mainly down to the fact that it’s actually stopped raining for once (pretty much a miracle here in Cornwall) and the kids are all excited about getting the tent out so camping crafts are the natural progression for me.
We’re thinking about tents and campfires and toasting marshmallows and while we wait for that doing a few easy camping crafts is a great way to keep that excitement going! This foil painted campfire craft is super simple so that even young kids can join in on the fun and excitement.
