Recently we were asked if we would like to visit and review Camel Creek which is near Padstow here in Cornwall. Actually it’s officially Wadebridge which is the much bigger town but like most out of town folk Padstow is a lot more recognisable to me! As luck would have it it coincided with my daughters birthday and I knew that both kids would love to visit so off we went.

We stayed at South Penquite Farms and now I want to live in a yurt
Summer is a difficult time for holidays. It shouldn’t be, of course, but if you’ve got kids you’ll know that once the school holidays hit everything seems to cost at least 462 times more and is ridiculously crowded. As we’ve recently moved to Cornwall we’ve seen it a lot in our town, the shops suddenly all ran out of holiday essentials (toilet roll and cider) and when it rains (which of course because we’re still in the UK) the car park for soft play is quite unreal. We wanted to go away for a couple of days but we didn’t want to spend a grand or feel like a sardine so after a bit of hunting my husband found South Penquite Farm in Bodmin and now I’m wondering if I should be typing this up or trying to keep it a secret.
Peppa Pig’s Surprise Review
Twenty five minutes until Peppa Pig’s Surprise is due to start and my two year old is lying on the floor in the front room having a meltdown because she has to wear shoes. ‘We’re going to see Peppa.’ I tell her. ‘You love Peppa!’ And she does love Peppa, she’s wearing her Peppa tshirt, has watched Peppa that morning and she’s now lying on the floor screaming and I start to panic that things, to put it politely, are not looking good.
The Best Things We Reviewed in 2015
As a blogger I’m very lucky that get invited to events and asked to try out things that I wouldn’t do. I don’t think my son has quite got his head around what I do for a job but when I ask him things like ‘could you help me review a restaurant?’ he’s always more than happy to oblige! This year we’ve tried out everything from comics to holidays, from clothes to books and science kits but there are a few which have been really stand out brilliant for me that I thought I would like to highlight as things that as a family we have all absolutely adored!
How to make a Playdough Christmas Tree that Lights Up!
I have to admit that I am a bit rubbish when it comes to science and technology, it’s something that I enjoy learning about with my kids but frankly most of the time I think I’m only a step beyond them in the knowledge stakes, maybe sometimes only half a step?! It is something that fascinates me though and I’m a great believer in learning through play so when we were offered the chance to review the Electro Dough Kit from Tech Will Save Us I was really keen to try it out. And being us of course I had to create a little challenge in the form of working out how to create a playdough Christmas tree that lights up!
