Glamping in Cornwall: Boswarthen Farm Review

12th July 2017 by Kate Williams | 4 Comments

Last weekend we were lucky enough to be invited to stay at Boswarthen Farm in Penzance thanks to Feather Down Farms. I must admit that I’ve had my eye on a holiday with Feather Down for a while, I adore glamping with the kids and with locations across Europe it seemed like the perfect idea for us, what could be nicer than spending a few days in the countryside but without the hassle of taking our 101 camping ‘essentials’ with us and with the children getting the chance to experience a bit of life on a real farm. After a lot of ooh-ing and ahhhh-ing we settled on a stay at Boswarthen, a dairy farm near Penzance with views over fields and the sea.

Glamping in Cornwall

Updated on 16th December 2019 by Kate Williams | 3 Comments

I must admit that over the last year I’ve become a bit obsessed with glamping. We’d been before in Essex but once we moved to the South West it seemed like the perfect way to explore, get the kids outside and of course have fun! There are loads of places to go glamping in Cornwall but these are some of my favourites – all of these glamping sites are places that we’ve been to or are on our to-do list to visit shortly!

Cornish Seal Sanctuary Review

Updated on 2nd December 2020 by Kate Williams | 4 Comments

This weekend we went spent a few days down on the south coast of Cornwall near Mullion, it’s a gorgeous area but one that I haven’t been to since we had kids so we thought it would be fun to go and see it again. Of course going somewhere in summer without kids is…ummm…slightly different to visiting somewhere late October with two small people in tow but that was fine as it gave us the excuse to go and visit places other than the beach. One of these was The Cornish Seal Sanctuary which is in Gweek, despite having had a look at their website I kind of presumed it would be a bit like the aquarium where we used to live in Southend – small, indoors but with slightly bigger tanks and of course like most things I presume I was totally wrong in this case, but thank not in a bad way.

Camel Creek Review

Updated on 29th October 2025 by Kate Williams | 10 Comments

Recently we were asked if we would like to visit and review Camel Creek which is near Padstow here in Cornwall. Actually it’s officially Wadebridge which is the much bigger town but like most out of town folk Padstow is a lot more recognisable to me! As luck would have it it coincided with my daughters birthday and I knew that both kids would love to visit so off we went.
