These easy weather crafts that I’m sharing today are suitable for toddlers aged one to three and preschoolers aged three to five.
They’re great for home learning, preschools, nurseries and weather-themed units as well as just for doing some easy crafts at home with your child.

Cloud Binocular Craft
Toilet paper roll crafts are often a popular choice for toddler and preschooler crafts as not only are they cheap and a great way to use up recycled materials they’re also really durable too.
These binoculars would be super cute for observing at cloud formations and would be a great addition to any weather unit.
Rain Cloud Craft
This rain craft is not only easy to create but it’s also super easy to adapt too as you could use pom poms, q-tips or finger painting to make the raindrops.
Paper Plate Umbrella
Paper plate crafts have always been really popular here (cheap crafts are always a good idea with kids!) and my kids enjoyed making these paper plate umbrellas which are good when you’re talking about rain!

These paper plate snowflakes are ones that I made at home with my own kids. They’re easy to decorate and a great way to use up any leftovers currently in your craft supplies.

Winter Tree Crafts
We’ve used our free tree printable for a couple of crafts and it’s perfect for snowy pictures like these winter tree painting ideas.
You can use basic craft materials and white paint to create a variety of tree crafts covered in white snow.

Bubble Wrap Painted Snowman
This bubble wrap snowman is nice and easy for kids to make, younger toddlers will need you to do the cutting but all ages can paint the bubble wrap.
Snowflake Paper Plate Twirler
Older children can use this as a way to practice using scissors while younger kids can decorate the paper plate with stickers, a great way to practice their fine motor skills too.

Scrunched Paper Snowman
Grab the tissue paper and make this sweet scrunched paper snowman that’s made using tissue paper.

Using a paint splat is definitely a classic craft technique and one that I’m sure that I did when I was at preschool too!
