Flower Crafts for Toddlers

Construction Paper Flowers

This paper flower craft from The Inspiration Edit looks perfect for spring and I love that you can make the petals all different colors.

Button Flowers

Due to the small parts you’ll obviously need to supervise your child while making this button flower craft but it’s a great activity for practicing fine motor skills and a brilliant way to use up any buttons that might be lurking at the back of your craft supplies.

Tissue Paper Flowers

these textured paper flowers from Buddy and Buggy are a fun craft for kids to make as they get to scrunch up the tissue paper.

Egg Carton Flowers

Egg cartons are the sort of thing that we always seem to end up with tons of in our recycling bin so rather than just get rid of them why not give your kid a chance to show some creativity with this cute craft from The Best Ideas for Kids.

Putting a flower bouquet into a vase means that this could be a great DIY gift too.

Handprint Tulips

I really like handprint crafts for toddlers and preschoolers because they make such great keepsakes, you have to make the most of it while they have such cute little hands!

This craft from Fun Handprint Art is super sweet and would look great on the front of a Mother’s Day card too.

Mosaic Flowers

Paper mosaics are a great option if you have more than one child at home as they can be easily adapted for kids of different ages to make together.

Younger kids can sprinkle the bits of paper onto the flower outline while older kids will be able to cut out the mosaic shapes themselves and be able to make a bit more of a mosaic by spacing the pieces out.

Coffee Filter Flowers

The result of this flower craft looks really impressive but they’re actually made using process art so it’s super easy for toddlers and preschoolers.

We used droppers to create the colors on the coffee filters and it was also a great excuse to learn a bit about color mixing and primary and secondary colors.

Scissor Skills Flowers

If your child is starting to use scissors then try out this simple craft which uses snipping to make flowers from cupcake liners.
