My second child teethed on and off for nearly a year before we saw any teeth arrive. It was fun! When I had my first child I honestly thought that kids babies teethed for a couple of weeks and then that was it. Yeah. I was totally wrong. Babies generally start teething at around six months, but for some it can be before four months and some kids are born with teeth. Knowing this much, second child around I decided to do whatever I could to help my baby and me get through the pain, so these are my top ways to calm teething, both for you and your baby.

40+ Foods your baby can eat before they have teeth
My youngest child is a prolific eater. Prolific. But she didn’t cut her first tooth until a week before her first birthday. We did baby led weaning as she refused to be spoon fed (and boy did I try!)I would go crazy trying to think of food babies can eat without teeth and as I had quite a bit of time to find some things she could eat, I thought I’d share a list for anyone else who finds themselves in the same situation!
11 Ways To Paint Without A Paintbrush

Normally when he’s working I try to have a plan in place but as this was last minute I had to think on my feet a bit. The result was looking for ways to paint without a paintbrush. My son loved doing it so I thought I would share it with you!
1) Pom poms, lovely and squishy and perfect for small hands
2) Pipecleaners, always get loads of these in craft packs and other than making crowns I never have a clue what to do with them. Obviously paint was the answer.
3) Flowers. We used dandelions (messy) and bluebells (super cute) These were probably the most popular things as hunting in the garden for things to paint with sounds very subversive when you are three!…
Christmas books for children: creating traditions
Last year I bought this book for the Toddler
We wanted to start creating some family traditions of our own and so on Christmas Eve silly old Santa accidentally let it fall out of his sleigh and into our front room. This is obviously the kind of thing that happens if you stop and have a glass of sherry at every house you visit!…
Christmas books for kids: Spiderman Annual 2004
So, last week I started to share some ideas for Christmas books for Children which I think are great to read together. First up was Stickman, a popular choice for families and pretty well known. Today’s choice? Possibly less likely to be seen on most Christmas reading lists and possibly with good reason.
