Flower Template

Flowers make for such cheerful crafts and while they’re often used for spring and summer activities there’s no reason why they can’t be used all year round, after all everyone loves flowers!

This printable template is a basic design that’s similar to a daisy but if you’d like to download some different flower designs then check out the links below for some more freebies.

Of course you can print as many copies of this design as you like so it’s perfect if you’d like to try out a few ideas at home or if you have a preschool or classroom full of kids that you want to do an activity with.

Flower Template Craft Ideas

Coloring

This is always the easiest and quickest activity to set up for kids and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that as well as it being pretty stress free it’s something that kids normally really enjoy too.

This template is great for using as coloring pages, just print the PDF, grab your markers, crayons or coloring pencils and you’re ready to get started.

Button Flowers

Toddlers and younger kids will obviously need extra supervision with this one due to the small parts being a choking risk but my kids really enjoyed making these button flower crafts and they’re good for fine motor skills too.

I’d recommend for this craft that you chose to print onto cardstock.

Mosaic

Grab the glue stick to make this mosaic flower craft, it’s great as a simple spring craft and is a good way to practice scissor skills too.

Cotton Buds

Pour a little paint onto a plate or tray and then dip a cotton bud into it before dabbing this onto your flower petals to color them in with lots of little dot marks.

Add Natural Materials

Color the petals and glue seeds into the centre of it.

Foil Painting

Similar to cotton bud painting but instead reach for the kitchen foil and scrunch it into a ball shape before using it to paint with.

Tissue Paper

This printable would make a great daisy template but white can be a little tricky to color or craft with sometimes.

To decorate it why not try covering the flower in glue, then tear up some tissue paper and scrunch it into balls before sticking white tissue to the petals and yellow to the middle.

Mothers Day Flower Craft Ideas

  • Paint the petals of this flower and pop a picture of your child in the middle.
  • Write ‘MUM’ in the middle of the flower and then write things you love about your mum on each petal.
