Lately I’ve been wondering what to do in the mornings with my one year old while her brother is at playgroup. She’s dropped her nap and suddenly I’m back in the stage where I’m in desperate need of some activities for toddlers! I can’t sit around the whole time playing with toys so I thought it would be fun to do some kind of craft. Obviously at one it’s all about the experience rather than the finished product but I wanted it to look like ‘something’ if you know what I mean! Sea crafts for kids are perfect for stuff like this as there is no right place to put things and everything is the right way up underwater. This ocean themed toddler art kept her entertained for ages and it kept me busy too!
Minion Crafts – DIY Minion Money Box
I know I only just posted my round up of Minion Finger Puppets but I got an idea in my head yesterday and it was one of those moments when I have to make something and write it up straight away! With the Minion film out currently I’ve been seeing loads of cool minion crafts on Facebook and Pinterest and I thought it would be fun to try a new tutorial myself. I was inspired by these fabulous superhero mason jar money boxes from Fireflies and Mudpies but my way of making them is a bit different, mainly because err… it was late and I was in too much of a hurry to re-read their instructions! Sometimes you just have to get on with the making!

How To Stop Your Kid Biting Without Biting Them Back
Houston, we have a problem. My youngest, my sweet, cute little 20 month old baby girl, well, she’s a biter. And it hurts. A lot. I looked for advice on how to stop your kid biting in one of my local Facebook groups for mums and almost every single person said the same thing – bite them back. Here’s the thing though, I’m not going to bite a baby. I mean she looks good enough to eat, but that’s just a saying, right? So I was kinda a bit stuffed for advice. Then I remembered I already had a marvelous Facebook group to hand who might be able to help, the lovely folks over at the Crafts on Sea page and hurray they saved the day!
All of these hints on stopping your kid biting are theirs, tried and tested by them. Obviously read them and then be sensible about what works for you, moving a head in might be great if you’re getting bitten while breastfeeding but it’s less likely to be great with a toddler, likewise telling kids no might be better advice for older children that bite than it is for a one week old. Let me know what works for you and I’ll report back on what’s working with my cute and cuddly little vampire!
