Autumn is here it the perfect time to make some easy and fun leaf crafts for toddlers. Leaf crafts are great to make with toddlers and preschoolers (as well as older kids!) because leaves themselves are such a fun sensory material – it’s lovely to see kids scrunching them up, kicking up piles of dry leaves or examining their beautiful colours.

Crafts for toddlers are some of the most popular things on this site as it’s such a lovely age group to get creative with. Leaf crafts can be a great way to start teaching kids about colour mixing too – what happens when red and yellow mix together? And when the inevitable happens (for my kids at the least!) and all the paints start to turn brown? Well that’s fine too, after all there’s an awful lot of brown leaves out there too!
The leaf crafts I’m sharing today should all be suitable for toddlers but as you’ll know all kids develop at different ages so go with the ones that look best for your child’s abilities and most importantly their interests. If there’s something here you think looks cool but your child isn’t quite up to you can always save this post and return to it next year! As with all toddler crafts and activities you should also make sure that you supervise your child throughout.
To make life easier you’ll find all the crafts I’m sharing today in the same order that they appear in the collage below, plus keep reading for some brilliant leaf themed books for toddlers and more autumn craft ideas.
