How Can I Decorate A Paper Shamrock?
Paints: You could use this shamrock template to make our foil painted shamrock craft.
Shamrock crafts: We’ve also shared three easy shamrock craft ideas made using this template with projects using paint, pom poms and paper depending on how much mess you fancy! I love the mosaic idea in this post which is great practice for using scissors and perfect if you have some scrap green construction paper or cardstock. I’ve shared a video to this page that shows it in action too.
Coloring: There’s nothing wrong with just grabbing some coloring pencils, crayons or markers, especially with younger children and this PDF works brilliantly as shamrock coloring pages. You can obviously make green shamrocks but if your child wants to grab some other colors too I don’t think it matters, after all if you can talk about it then it all helps with color recognition – right?!
Stickers: Use colored stickers for an activity that would be great for fine motor skills too.
Stamping: Make big coloured dots on your shamrock using bingo daubers. This is a fun way to decoate for kids of all ages as the daubers are normally quite big so they’re good for little hands.
Make Decorations: If you’ve decorated your shamrock make sure you put it up to display your craft projects! These would look great on a bulletin board in a classroom or you could cut the shamrocks out and use them to make a little banner by using tape and yarn or bakers twine to hold them together.
