Printable St Patricks Day Card (FREE PDF)

Updated on 9th March 2026 by Kate Williams | 2 Comments

Our free craft templates are always popular and this printable St Patricks Day card is one of my favourites so far with it’s cheerful rainbow flowing down into a pot of gold, it’s the perfect way to wish someone a Happy St Patrick’s Day!

There’s seven different designs available to print and color so you can choose which phrase you want or add something of your own – our own versions of an Irish blessing telling your friends or family how lucky you feel to know them.

This cute design is filled with shamrocks, gold coins and Leprechaun’s boots amongst other things and its fun 3D design means it’s bound to stand out from the crowd.

Printable St Patricks Day Cards

I love the cute design of this free St Patricks Day card and I hope that you and your kids will too.

It’s really easy to make: just coloring, cutting out and a bit of gluing and you’re left with something that I think any friends or family member would love to receive.

Whose day would your kids brighten by giving them one of these cards?

Craft Supplies Needed

You can print your St Patrick’s Day card onto white printer paper but if you want to make sure that it stands up properly then I’d recommend printing it onto white cardstock.

Printing it onto cardstock also means that the ink from marker pens is less likely to show through to the other side.

Of course if you are making this card in a group or classroom and budget is an issue then obviously just go with white paper!

You will also need something to color it with. Markers are the best for this as you’ll get brighter colors (perfect for the rainbow) but you could also use crayons or colored pencils.

As well as these items you’ll also need scissors and glue and of course you’ll also need the PDF itself which you can find below.

I would recommend using a glue stick for this craft rather than PVA / school glue as the more liquidy glue can make the paper or card wetter and a bit flimsy.

Free Printable St Patricks Day Card: What’s Included

All of the 3D cards need to have a pot of gold base and then you can choose which of the rainbow’s you would like to use with it.

Rainbow 1: ‘Happy St Patricks Day, I am so lucky to know you!’ and To and Love From to fill in.

Rainbow 2: ‘Happy St Patricks Day, I am so lucky to know you!’ and you can fill in To.. I feel lucky to know you because… Love From.

Rainbow 3: ‘Happy St Patricks Day, I am so lucky to know you!’ with a blank area you can fill in if you like or leave blank.

Rainbow 4: ‘Happy St Patricks Day, wishing you lots of luck!’ and To and Love From to fill in.

Rainbow 5: ‘Happy St Patricks Day, wishing you lots of luck!’ and you can fill in To… Wishing you lots of love and luck for…Love From.

Rainbow 6: ‘Happy St Patricks Day, wishing you lots of luck!’ with a blank area you can fill in if you like or leave blank.

Rainbow 7: This design has a rainbow but has no writing on it.

How To Make Your St Patricks Day Card

Choose which card you would like to make from the templates and print out both the pot of gold stand and the rainbow page that you would like to use onto white cardstock.

Color in the design and fill out the section stating who the card is to and from.

Cut the different parts of your card out along the dotted lines and glue the two matching sections together back to back.

Cut along the dotted sections running part of the way through the two different pieces and slot them together to make your card 3D.
