Leprechaun Template
This year there’s no need to set set your own trap to grab an elusive leprechaun – just print out one of our free leprechaun templates!
There’s two different leprechaun face templates available in the PDF file, you can use them both or just print out the one that you want.
One design includes the leprechaun’s features with eyes, nose, mouth and cheeks that looks perfect for coloring pink while the other one is left blank for you to add your own features.
The design showing their full face also has a shamrock shape on the leprechaun’s hat.
Of course, you can also print as many copies as you like, meaning that this template is perfect for classrooms and preschools as well as for using at home.
It’s also going to make some great leprechaun decor! Why not stick one of your finished crafts on a door or bulletin board?
If you like our leprechaun but would like something for slightly older children to make then why not check out our build a leprechaun craft where you can color in the free template and then cut and paste to make your own leprechaun or try our movable leprechaun craft.
Leprechaun Craft Ideas
Coloring
Coloring is always the easiest kids activity to prepare but it’s one that they enjoy and these printables make great leprechaun coloring pages.
Coloring can be great as a quiet time activity too, all you need to do is grab your markers, colored pencils or crayons.
Cut and Paste Features
Grab the scissors, a glue stick and some old magazines and hunt for different facial features that you can stick on to your leprechaun’s face.
If you can’t find the things you want you can always improvise by cutting some out of colored paper or construction paper.
Add Your Own Face
What would you look like as if you were a leprechaun? Take a look in a mirror and draw in eyes nose and a mouth like yours.
Make sure you check out your eye color! You could draw in some of your hair if you like and write your name on your leprechaun’s hat.
Pom Poms
Make a fun 3D beard by gluing orange and red pom poms onto the leprechaun template.
Playdough Mat
For some fun sensory play grab the playdough and use the template with a blank face and then add your own features.
Will your leprechaun be happy or sad? What color will their eyes be? Will they have brown or orange eyebrows?
You can also use the playdough to color in the rest of the template; grab some orange or red for their beard and some yellow dough for the belt buckle.
If you want to use this more than once then I’d recommend putting the template inside a clear pouch or laminating it.
