Witches Cauldron Template
Halloween is always really popular in our home as a time when my kids want to do something creative and I’m sure that’s the same in a lot of other homes and classrooms too.
After all October can be a bit of a grey and cold time so it’s nice to find something fun to do indoors together.
This free printable template is perfect for helping you to do some easy crafts at home and you’ll find two different images in the PDF file, the first being a more basic cauldron outline with the second having a little more detail.
Halloween Cauldron Craft Ideas
Coloring
Coloring is always a great way to encourage some creativity and as it’s a super simple one to prepare it’s normally pretty popular with parents and teachers too.
Simply print out your favorite template onto paper and grab your markers, coloring pencils or crayons.
Want to add a bit of literacy? Why not get your child to add some words to their cauldron too to describe the potion they might brew.
Bingo Dabbers
Bingo dabbers (or dot markers) are a great way to create colored circles on crafts.
You could use a black marker to color in the cauldron itself or choose colored dabbers to create colored bubbles or potion fumes rising out out of the top of your cauldron.
Bubble Painting
Try an update on a classic craft from your youth by making our bubble painted witch’s cauldron craft!
Choose your favorite colors of paint and create bubbles to spill from the top of the cauldron.
You’ll find step by step instructions in the post but obviously only try this craft with kids that can blow into a straw and who you can be sure won’t try to drink the paint.
Add Some Flames
Take some inspiration from our foil painted campfire or sponge painted craft and add some flames to the bottom of your witches cauldron so it’s ready to heat up those potions.
More Halloween Crafts for Kids
I love this resist art ghost craft as kids of all ages can get involved in painting it and it uses one of our printable templates to make sure you don’t need to worry about your skills at drawing ghosts.
Our pumpkin suncatcher is one that I made with my son when he was a preschooler. As well as making great decor (we had this displayed for ages!) it was a good way to discuss color mixing too.
We created this crafts using paper bowls but of course you can adapt it to create paper plate monsters too. What I love about it is there’s no one way to create a monster, so just grab the paints, glue and whatever supplies you have at home and get creative with them.
