The Quickest Way To Make A Cushion Cover

Updated on 18th February 2025 by Kate Williams | 4 Comments

With two small kids the amount of time I get to make things myself is pretty limited. Actually it’s pretty non-existent, so anything I do needs to be made in a matter of minutes or it just isn’t going to happen. Thankfully I’ve got a way to make cushion covers that really can be done super quickly so these really can be whipped up in no time. What’s more this cute material was designed by myself and that was super simple too!

17 Enchanting Mini Planters

9th June 2015 by Kate Williams | 4 Comments

This week has seemed a bit manic with one thing and the other, the youngest is still not napping *weeps* the eldest seems to have a million appointments about starting school and the housework fairy has failed to turn up. Again. Some relief this week has come though in the form of hunting out these gorgeous mini planters for you. I think there’s nothing like a bit of nature in your home and garden to perk-up your mood and these beauties certainly all do the job.

Father’s Day Photo Ideas

Updated on 3rd May 2016 by Kate Williams | 6 Comments

Before we go any further, if you are my husband STOP READING NOW. And if by any chance you know my husband you must solemnly swear you won’t tell him about this post. Are we done? Ok cool! I am honestly so excited to share this post with you. My husband is the worst person in the whole world for buying gifts for, he’s totally non-materialistic which is cool, but err…. a mare to buy for. So, given a bit of a prod from Truprint I thought I’d come up with something a bit more personal and make a special Father’s Day photo for him from the kids. I waited until we had a (slightly more photogenic than my home) day out at Mersea Island with the kids and with the stealth skills of a ninja with an iPhone, sent him off to get chips while I got the kids to pose.

Baymax Felt Finger Puppet

18th May 2015 by Kate Williams | 1 Comment

Do your kids like Big Hero 6? My son loved it and has been pretending to be Baymax for the last couple of weeks! It’s been a little while since I shared any of my felt finger puppets but as soon as I told my son I was thinking of making a Baymax puppet he was checking in on my progress five times a day. Gotta love it when your boss is half your size! Getting the template right for this one was a bit tricky so I’ve included a free pattern for you to download so that you can quickly make a Baymax felt finger puppet of your own!
