Two exciting things to share with you today, firstly I’ve got a little tutorial for you on how I made these fun yoghurt bottle butterflies using Yakult bottles and then I’ve got some news on how you can do some crafting yourself and be in with the chance of winning £500 Hobbycraft vouchers to fund your craft stash. How cool is that?!

Hydrangea Craft for Kids
Last week my son was asking me about what flowers I love. “Tulips, Daffodils..” I told him “but I really like hydrangeas too.” Being five and me having somehow missed this vital bit of parenting he didn’t have a clue what a hydrangea was so I tried to explain them to him, the balls of tiny flowers all packed together in gorgeous pastel colours and then I thought, hey, rather than just explaining and showing a picture, why not try and make some too with this fun hydrangea craft for kids? We love sharing crafts for toddlers as well as older kids so you’ll see how easy this was to create with my two year old too!
30 Cool Craft Ideas for Boys
My son enjoys making stuff, but there are certain crafts that really get him excited. Superhero crafts. Star Wars crafts. Things that he can go and play with. The ones where he turns to me and says ‘thank you mummy’ with a look of glee in his eyes. I’m sure that lots of these are things that girls would like to make too (my daughter is obsessed with Batman and I’m hardly going to tell her that she can’t do ‘boy stuff’) but I also know that there are some crafts that boys will do and some crafts that boys will really, really want to do. So this is my little round up of the coolest and most fun crafts for boys, the ones they’ll thank you for.
Sponge Printed Death Star Craft
Every now and again I do a craft with my kids that I really, super love. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the kids crafts and activities that we do but one or two really stand out for me as the ones that will always put a big grin on my face. Ladies and gentlemen, this is that post. Today, it’s a Death Star craft. I haven’t been doing so much crafting with my son recently, we’ve always loved doing superhero crafts and activities but he’s really been into drawing recently, but we watched Return of the Jedi at the weekend and I just knew that he would love this. Oh, and hey, I did too. Did I mention that?
Potato Masher Rainbow Craft for Toddlers
The weather seems dominated by grey, grey dull days at the moment and frankly I’ve had enough! We love sharing weather crafts and activities and rainbow crafts for kids are normally super popular around spring and St Patrick’s Day but frankly I can’t wait that long – we need more rainbow crafts now! We love crafts for toddlers and this simple activity was really easy to set up and make a a nice change for my toddler to using a paintbrush, I think it makes a pretty cool paint effect too and it’s easy to set up even if you don’t have all the colours you need!
