A few weeks ago we were challenged to make something using glue and I came up with a really clever faffy idea that I thought would be awesome. And….uhhhh….it was rubbish. I mean it took days to set, it was all clumpy, when it finally dried I didn’t even feel like showing it to the kids. That bad. Thankfully though I have my two little superheros on hand and they are always ready to save the day. “Mummy, can I make a card for my friend” so he did and we did and these simple Christmas cards kind of saved the day for us.

The Best Star Wars Crafts for Kids
I think there must be very few kids or grown ups that don’t like Star Wars! We’ve spent the last few weeks re-watching our favourite Star Wars films in anticipation of The Force Awakens being released. My kids love crafts that are about things they really love (have you seen our Batman crafts?!) so I thought some Star Wars crafts for kids would be perfect for them and maybe for your kids too?!
Scissor Skills Christmas Tree Craft
Hopefully on the final day of poorly kids today as they have been climbing the walls! When things get a bit frantic I know that Christmas crafts are a great way to calm my two down and the Christmas tree craft is great as not only was it fun to make but it helps improve scissor skills too. Add some stickers for supporting their fine motor skills and suddenly you have a cute Christmas tree craft that’s pretty educational too, wow, how did that happen?! And the kids didn’t notice either, they were far too busy having fun.
Candy Cane Crafts and Activities
It’s that time of year when candy canes are starting to fill the shops and so candy cane crafts and activities are totally on my kids radar. Their idea of candy cane crafts is more likely to be the alleged craft of eating them while mine is more likely to include some glue or pipe cleaners but hey at least we’re all vaguely thinking about the same thing?! If your looking for some candy cane activities to keep your kids busy then there should be loads in here to get you inspired, from arts and crafts to sensory play, maths and some science. As for eating them? I’m saving myself for the chocolate tree decorations!

Glittery Winter Tree Crafts for Kids
The leaves are nearly all fallen from the trees down our road now and on the walk to school even my four year old points out that it means we’re nearly in winter now. This cute winter tree craft for kids is a great way to welcome in the season and is a fun way to start decorating your kids room up if you can’t face Christmas decorations yet! What’s more as its a pretty winter craft it will still be looking good in January and February, making it a craft that lasts a little bit longer than your traditional 12 days of Christmas!
