Cut and Paste Astronaut Craft
Start by printing the PDF file onto white paper. If your child is likely to play with their finished craft then you might want to print it onto cardstock to make it a bit more sturdy and durable but if you’ll just be displaying it at home or one a bulletin board in your classroom then normal printer paper should be fine.

Next it’s time to grab your coloring materials and color in your astronaut and their equipment. You only need to color in the parts you’ll be using so just go with the face that you want to use.
If you’re drawing your own face in or if you want to stick a photo into your astronaut’s helmet then now is the time to do that.

Use your scissors to cut out the separate parts following the dotted lines around them for guidance. Again you only need the parts that you’ll be using so don’t worry about the additional faces.

Now it’s time to make your spacesuit, take the main body part and glue the space helmet to the top and stick the legs, arms and space boots on as indicated on the printable.

Next up we’ll be adding the extra’s that your astronaut is going to need so let’s add some glue onto their backpack (life support system) and then attach that to their back.
Add a little glue to each end of the oxygen supply and then stick it so that one end will be attached to their spacesuit and the other end goes around the back of their backpack.
You also need to their control unit to the front of their spacesuit.

Finally we want to see what your brave astronaut looks like so glue their face into their helmet and they’re finished and ready for some intergalactic adventures!
