We love summer crafts, everything feels that little bit better when the sun is out and it’s a great tie to be inspired by everything around you and try out something creative. Not so warm where you are? These would be a great option for weather crafts or solar system crafts too.
Our sun template has two basic outlines for you to choose from, just download them both and then print the one that you want.
They’re great if you are working with a group of kids as you can print as many copies as you need, meaning that you don’t need to draw the same thing again and again.

Sun Craft Ideas
There are lots of ways that you could use these templates but if you need a few ideas to get you started then why not try out these?
Coloring
There’s absolutely nothing wrong in going for the most simple and easy option, it’s normally the one my kids do too!
Print out your favorite design and then grab some colored markers, crayons or coloring pencils and get coloring.
Collage
For an easy sun craft grab your scissors and glue before you hunt for scrap paper or construction paper and look through comics and magazines.
Cut out any yellow, orange or gold areas and glue them onto your sun for a craft that’s great for fine motor skills too.
Scrunched Tissue Paper
I love the way this looks when it’s finished and as it’s so hands on it can be a great option for toddlers, preschoolers and kids in kindergarten.
Simply tear pieces of colored tissue paper and roll it into balls. Spread some glue onto your sun template and then stick your tissue paper balls all over the sun shape.
