I love Halloween but I have to admit that carving a pumpkin is not my favourite activity. My son loves it and loves putting the pumpkin outside but me? Well I’m the one with bits of pumpkin goo stuck down their fingernails. Of course you can still carve a pumpkin and do some no carve pumpkins too, the brillianceofthese is that you could so them a few days before Halloween and have them decorating your house and getting you all in the mood for the big day. After all if I’m making a minion pumpkin I want to look at it for more than just one night and I know my kids would too! I don’t want to give myself nightmares so these are all no carve pumpkin ideas that kids will love – which are you going to try this year?

Fall Ice Tower Excavation Sensory Play
We’ve played many times at putting toys and other things in ice, our Batman ice excavation is always a winner! I wanted to try something different though and this fall ice tower is great fun because it’s actually three activities in one. Really? Yes, firstly you need to go out and hunt for your materials, then you need to find the best way to pack them into the ice and thirdly you need to excavate them! There was so many things to discover in this ice tower that it actually couldn’t all be excavated in one session, making this an activity that kept my kids busy for ages!

World Teachers Day and Teachers Gift Ideas
Did you know that October 5th is World Teachers Day? I must admit that it’s a new one to me but having read up on it this week I love the idea of it! The day is organised by UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) and has the slogan ‘Invest in the future, invest in teachers’. Of course when you think about it it makes massive amounts of sense to invest in teachers across the world, after all, if someone doesn’t have the right training or resources how can they properly support others to learn? So in celebration of World Teachers Day I’m sharing with you some fabulous craft ideas to show a teacher you care as well as details on how you could win flowers and chocolates for your favourite teacher!

Washi Tape Cards Kids Can Make
I am not even remotely ashamed to admit that I am a bit of a washi addict. It’s so pretty!! A few weeks ago my friend Gude from Hodge Podge Craft opened her new online shop The Paperdashery which sells all sorts of gorgeous things for creating beautiful Happy Mail. She asked if I’d like to review a few bits and I jumped at the chance. Unfortunatly at this point my beloved son saw what I was looking at and got excited about getting some washi tape himself. Foiled! Still, as I’m keen to introduce my kids into the world of washi I thought it would be nice to try out some washi tape cards that kids can make and as I’ve spent far too long looking at pretty things myself I thought I’d also share some fabulous ideas that I found from other bloggers too.
Button Pumpkin Craft and Fall Activities for Toddlers
Now that my son has started school I’m on the look out for more crafts for toddlers that I can do with my daughter. This button pumpkin craft is a fun activity that can be used to celebrate fall or Halloween and is great for promoting fine motor skills.
