Around this time last year I shared a post about painting with cotton wool where my daughter painted some heart shapes using cotton wool. Well this painted cotton wool hearts activity is kind of the reverse of that one, instead of using the cotton wool to paint with we tried painting the cotton wool!
I love, love, love Valentines Day so what could be more fun to share than these wonderful Valentines Day activities for preschoolers?! Preschoolers are at that brilliant age where they love to learn, explore, play and have fun – perfect for taking part in these activities. There’s everything from sensory bins to keepsakes, from science experiments to birdfeeders and from mosaics to mugs so enough to keep everyone occupied and enjoying the celebrations.
Today I’ve been doing a bit of Valentines Day crafting with my daughter and we made this cute mosaic heart craft. She’s currently four years old so this makes a good Valentines Day craft for preschool as it’s a fun way to practice scissor skills and they’d make a great decoration to go on front of a card too – which is exactly what my daughter decided to to afterwards!
After we made our newspaper Chinese Lantern last week my daughter was still super keen to keep going so we got busy with this sweet newspaper heart craft. It’s a great way to keep the kids busy and creative without having to spend out on new craft materials and uses a fun painting technique my daughter loved.
Today I’m sharing over 40 Valentines Day activities for toddlers with you including fabulous ideas from sensory play to keepsakes, painted toast and of course Valentines cards. Over the last couple of years I’ve shared quite a few Valentines activities for kids but today I’m adding loads of inspiration from other kid bloggers to make sure that you can keep the kids busy and happy in the lead up to Valentines Day.
