What You'll Find on This Page
Witch Template
Every Halloween my kids get excited about creating some Halloween crafts – normally at the last minute when I haven’t planned anything!
This free printable of a witch on her broom is perfect for Halloween activities with your child and you can make it as simple as you like with some easy coloring or go for one of our craft ideas if you’d like something to spend some time together creating.
There are two designs in the PDF pack, one with a more basic outline shape while the other has more details including stars, moons and even a little spider on the witch’s hat.
Free Halloween Craft Templates
We regularly share free templates for kids arts and crafts. They’re perfect if you want to create something easy with your child but don’t want the stress of having to draw an outline yourself, if you want an easy coloring page or if you need to have a lot of one image.
After all if you’re in a preschool or classroom you probably don’t want to have to draw 30 witches yourself!
Halloween is one of our favorite times of year for encouraging kids to get creative so it stands to reason that we have quite a lot of printable Halloween templates.
These are some of our favorites and with each one you’ll also find some ideas for how you could use it.
Witch Craft Ideas
Coloring
Coloring or painting is always an activity that we recommend as it’s easy to set up and something that kids normally enjoy too.
Just choose which design you prefer and then use it as a coloring sheet.
Make a Paper Plate Craft
Color your witch and then cut it our (this bit may well require adult assistance.) Take a paper plate and paint it black the add some stars to it.
You could use star stickers, glitter or paint pens to do this. Glue your witch onto the plate so it looks like she is flying across the night sky.
Halloween Wreath
This craft requires a bit of scissor skills so it’s more one for the adults or older kids to do the cutting and younger kids to do the decorating.
Carefully cut out the witch template and the centre of a paper plate using scissors. The paper plate should still have a decent rim round the edge of it to create a wreath shape.
Color or paint your paper plate wreath and witch and once they are dry glue your witch onto the wreath ready to display it.
Suncatcher
This template would work brilliantly to make a Halloween themed suncatcher but instead of using your cellophane or tissue paper to color in the inside of the picture you’ll want to use it to decorate the outside, having the witch silhouette as a shadowy figure on your window.
If you haven’t made one of these before then all you need to do is check out the instructions for our shell suncatcher but change the shell printable for your witch one.
I’d recommend using purple, green or orange paper or cardstock for this activity.
More Witch Crafts for Kids
Our paper bag witch craft is easy to make and kids can use it as a puppet too, perfect for acting out those spooky stories!
Paper plates are always a really popular craft materials both with parents and teachers as they’re so cheap. We’ve made a fun paper plate witch craft which features a 3D nose too!
Of course any self respecting witch will own a cauldron as well as her broomstick and this bubble painted cauldron craft uses one of our free printable templates to make your own witches brew at home.
