Bubble Wrap Snowman

Updated on 1st December 2017 by Kate Williams | 7 Comments

I discovered today at my son’s playgroup that they’re doing Christmas crafts, which as far as I’m concerned totally gives me the green light to get stuck into Christmas crafts at home, woo-hoo! After a busy day we needed an activity that was fun but could be done by a slightly knackered preschooler. This bubble wrap snowman fitted the bill perfectly and helped increase the excitement levels about winter arriving shortly!

Stained Glass Christmas Tree Suncatcher

Updated on 1st November 2015 by Kate Williams | 2 Comments

This year for Halloween we made a stained glass pumpkin and we loved it! It was such a cute decoration and  my son loved hanging it in the window, so with Christmas approaching I thought we’d give suncatchers another try and we came up with this cute stained glass Christmas tree!

Marbled Dinosaur Messy Play Painting

5th November 2014 by Kate Williams | 2 Comments

Painting with foam is a great way for kids to get a hands on messy play or sensory play and as the mother of a three year old boy I know how popular dinosaurs are! Believe me I’ve learned more about dinosaurs in the last year than I did in the previous 35! This dinosaur messy play painting creates a cute marbling effect that you will want to use yourself once the kids are in bed.

Amazing Engineering Activities for Kids

Updated on 23rd January 2019 by Kate Williams | 4 Comments

As a mum I make a lot of stuff with my kids, but I do wonder sometimes if I lean too much towards the arts and crafts side of things, heck, I even had to quickly google to see if there’s a difference between engineering and construction for this post. (Don’t tell my Civil Engineer dad!) I love these engineering activities for kids though which I’m hoping will inspire me to do a few more engineering activities at home too!

Ocean Sensory Play

Updated on 22nd September 2020 by Kate Williams | 7 Comments

Last week in Tuesday Tutorials MulticraftingMummy linked up a really cool post called ‘We’re going on a P hunt‘ where she used water beads. I’ve never used then before so thought it might be fun to try out ourselves. Being water beads an ocean sensory play tub seemed the best idea for an easy introduction to using them!
