Christmas Suncatchers for Kids

Updated on 13th January 2022 by Kate Williams | 2 Comments

I’m a bit obsessed with suncatchers. I love having something fun to hang up in the window and I love having the sun shine through them, making them light up.

Even though the days are a bit grey and dismal at the moment these Christmas suncatchers are a fun craft for kids that help to brighten up the place a bit!

We’re now full into Christmas mode at our house, there’s no tree up yet as we still have one more birthday before Christmas, but as soon as that’s over it will be going up! In preparation of decorating the Christmas tree we made these cute pom pom Christmas tree ornaments, they were so simple to do, surprisingly cheap and perfect kids to make so I thought I’d share them!

Glittery Christmas Star Suncatcher

Updated on 6th December 2021 by Kate Williams | 6 Comments

Along with 30 other bloggers I’m taking part in the Story Book Advent on Rainy Day Mum. We love doing crafts that tie in with the stories we’re reading and for this I thought we’d try to make a glittery Christmas star suncatcher to go with the story Suzy Goose and the Christmas Star.

This is a really fun Christmas star craft for preschoolers as long as you are prepared to wipe up a bit of glitter!

Paper Plate Christmas Wreath

Updated on 3rd December 2014 by Kate Williams | 6 Comments

At the beginning of autumn we made a paper plate wreath which we decorated with real leaves which we really enjoyed doing. To celebrate Christmas, or more importantly, the fact that I’ve got a stack of paper plates, I thought we could try to make a paper plate Christmas wreath. I’ve seen some really cool Christmas wreaths on Pinterest but understandably a lot of those seem beyond the skills of a three year old! So being inspired by the holly on our walk to playgroup I thought we would make a little holly wreath.
