I love a cute craft and my kids do too – my daughter was desperate to make this cute dog Valentines Day toilet paper roll craft when she saw it so we now have a little group pf these cuties lined up in our dining room!
Valentines Day Dog Craft
If you’d like to see how I made this cute little dog craft then you can watch a video of it below. Prefer written instructions? No problem you’ll find them right underneath as well as some more ideas for Valentines Day crafts for kids. Don’t forget if you like this craft to bookmark this page or pin an image so you don’t forget about it and save yourself some time panic googling ideas later!
To make this craft start by painting a toilet roll white. If you can’t wait for paint to dry (and my kids are that way sometimes too) you can wrap the toilet roll in white paper or if you don’t have / don’t fancy using a toilet roll for crafts then you can make a tube out of some white card selotaped together at the back.
Next drawing on your dogs face – be sure to give him a little heart shaped nose and then cut some ear shapes out of black paper or cardstock. Because these are a bit of a funny shape (as is the toilet roll) I’ve used double sided sellotape to stick mine into place.
Finally you need to cut out your black hearts to make the Dalmatians spots. I’ve used a heart shaped paper punch but you could just cut them out with scissors or of course you could just draw your hearts onto your white toilet roll.

These mosaic hearts were really popular round ours and would be good on the front of a card too.
