With St Patricks Day round the corner I thought that making a card to celebrate would be a nice opportunity for me and The Toddler to mess around with some paints. ‘Making’ is his current favorite thing to do (other than being Batman, obviously) and with the weather being less than 100% at the moment this was a great indoor project that we could do.
Crafts for kids
So last week The Toddler bought home what I presume were salt dough decorations from play group and I was reminded that I wanted to make some for our tree this year. Actually, what I wanted to make were these gorgeous ones from Hybrid Handmade where Cari uses air drying clay and vintage lace, however I have a toddler so that wasn’t likely to happen. In this case, umm… the top was a bit of a mess too and I thought that a new print would help hide some stains!

We don’t live near any of my family, my mum and sister live in Peterborough and my dad lives in Kent. Not the other end of the planet but still not quite close enough that you can pop in for a cup of tea without doing a weeks wages on petrol. These easy DIY colouring pages seemed the perfect way to do encourage a bit of creativity while helping to remind my son about all his family members and we did some of a recent holiday too – good times! …
