Last week in Tuesday Tutorials MulticraftingMummy linked up a really cool post called ‘We’re going on a P hunt‘ where she used water beads. I’ve never used then before so thought it might be fun to try out ourselves. Being water beads an ocean sensory play tub seemed the best idea for an easy introduction to using them!
Crafts for kids
Cupcake Liner Turkey
Once again our house has been filled with illness (joy!) so I’ve been trying to think of quick and easy craft ideas for when my son was well enough to do ‘something’. This cupcake liner turkey was made using things that we already had around the house (seeing as we’ve been house bound and all that) and was a nice opportunity to try our hand at a bit of Thanksgiving crafting!
Bonfire Night Fireworks Craft
Like a lot of kids my son loves looking at fireworks and with Bonfire Night on the horizon I thought it would be fun to try out a little activity to help get him excited about it! This would be a great fireworks craft for preschoolers or those in the first few years of school and it could easily be used as a Diwali, Thanksgiving or New Years Eve craft too!
The Best Constellation Activities for Kids
Like most people I’m pretty sad to see the summer go and if you live in the UK like me then having the clock change hanging over you is nothing to look forward to (does the hollow laugh thing about the ‘extra hour in bed’) One good thing though about the shorter days is the chance to see more of the night sky, which I adore. Stargazing is something that I want to encourage in my own kids and with that in mind I thought I’d share some great constellation activities for kids.
O is for Orca Paper Plate Craft
I’m really excited today to be taking part in All Done Monkey’s 31 days of ABC linky. I have to admit that I’ve spent the last week being super nervous about it!
As well as the normal ‘what shall we make’ panic with both kids ill there’s been not much crafting going on and lots of Peppa Pig and Calpol instead.
We love creating sea themed craft so thankfully at the last minute I thought of doing an Orca paper plate craft and very thankfully the boy agreed that he’d like to try it!
