Last week we had friends round to visit for a playdate and I thought it might be nice to try and get all the kids to settle down and do some crafting. With two four year old boys and a two year old girl I needed something that could be made by everyone, especially as my daughter was having a teething day and had to be held by me at all times! These washi tape valentine cards were easy enough for all the kids to make and I thought they looked pretty cool too!

How to make your washi tape valentines cards:
I gave a heart shape out of red card to each kid and let them choose what washi tape they wanted to use to decorate it. Washi tape can be a bit hard to tear sometimes so in some cases I tore the pieces off for them. They all made their own designs (I loved how some were properly horizontal vs vertical while my son’s were all over) and we smoothed any ends of the washi tape over the edges of the hearts to give it a cleaner finish. The children then stuck the hearts on to the front of their cards and they were ready to go!
As an aside, as it’s only January I didn’t actually mention the V word to the kids, they just wanted to make nice cards for people! And they all decided that they wanted to give them to their daddies too which I thought was pretty cute.
Awww these are sweet and great for little ones to share with their mums and dads!
I think these cards are adorable! Thanks so much for linking them up at the Love to Learn Linky!
Thanks Katie 🙂
