Lego Ice Play

Updated on by | Leave a Comment

Recently I’ve had to hide the lego away from my kids. Not because I’m a mean mum (well, maybe) but with selling our home my daughter seemed to have some kind of sixth sense for when the place would need to be tidy for viewings or surveyors and would head straight to the lego box. Boom – maximum impact. This lego ice play idea was great for us because it allowed her to play with the lego all in one place and – bonus – got it cleaned up ready to pack. The ingenious little tool I used to make the lego ice was pretty cheap too and it great for perking up kids drinks on hot days!

Wooden Clothes Pin Dragonfly Craft

by | 1 Comment

You know those bloggers who have all their posts planned out for months in advance? Hey that’s not me, I have two kids, it’s all flying by the seat of my pants stuff over here, so even though I only just shared the cute clothes pin ants we made the other day I’m now sharing this sweet dragonfly craft with you. Why? Well we made them at the same time, my youngest saw the ants and wanted something of her own. At two years old making these herself was a bit beyond her so we made these sweet dragonflies for her to play with. Of course she told me that they’re actually butterflies but that’s kids for you.

Free Fathers Day Superhero Printables

Updated on by | Leave a Comment

With Father’s Day coming up I thought I’d make some some cute little posters that you can download – these Fathers Day superhero printables! Like a lot (most?!) other kids my two are superhero and this is very much a DC household – true story, aged one my daughter bought herself a Robin dressing up outfit on Amazon, that taught me about 1-click! I’ve made four posters so you can choose which superhero badge you want a the top – Batman, Superman, Captain America or Flash.

All these posters are size A4 so you can easily print them at home. You could pop them up in a picture frame or tape them to the wall – I always use washi tape for this because (so far!) it’s never removed any of my paint. Be sure that you select ‘fit to page’ when you print it.
