You know those bloggers who have all their posts planned out for months in advance? Hey that’s not me, I have two kids, it’s all flying by the seat of my pants stuff over here, so even though I only just shared the cute clothes pin ants we made the other day I’m now sharing this sweet dragonfly craft with you. Why? Well we made them at the same time, my youngest saw the ants and wanted something of her own. At two years old making these herself was a bit beyond her so we made these sweet dragonflies for her to play with. Of course she told me that they’re actually butterflies but that’s kids for you.

What You'll Find on This Page
You will need:
Wooden clothes pins
Two pipe cleaners per dragonfly (we like the sparkly ones)
Coloured pens
Black fineliner pen
How to make your clothes pin dragonfly
Colour in your wooden clothes pin, this was a bit of a joint effort between me and my son and my current pens of choice are these as they still work if you leave the lids off for a while. This happens a lot round ours!
Take your first pipecleaner and make it into a circle, twisting the two ends together.
Now twist the middle so that it forms a figure of eight shape. Do this for the other pipecleaner and then twist the two together to make your dragonfly’s wings. push the wings into the gap in the clothes pin.
Glue on your googly eyes, draw them a little face and you are done!

Oh these are just lovely, what a great idea! My daughter adores crafting so we’ll have to make these. Our little craft box is growing by the week! Like you I don’t schedule anything, would be amazing to do that! x
