My children both love to draw so I thought it might be fun to design some cute animal drawing prompts for kids. There are two designs, one of a giraffe and one of some puppies – I think I might be a bit in love with that pug?! I’ve added prompts to each picture either for older kids to read themselves or for you to read to your kids, can they add some food for the animals? How about some sun for the giraffe or an owner for the dogs?

Animal Drawing Prompts for Kids
ALl kids love to draw but I know that working out quite what they’ve drawn isn’t always so easy! With my son now aged five I can normally work out what his drawings are (and they’re normally batman which makes it easier for me!) but with my two year old daughter it can be a bit more of a challenge. If I’m not sure I normally try and ask them a bit about the picture instead, what the person is doing or about why they’ve chosen a certain colour, this normally makes the process a bit easier! Sun Life Direct recently shared a really cute quiz where you have to guess which celebrity kids have drawn. I am obviously very proud to report that I got seven out of nine correct, I’d love to know if you can beat me. My personal favourite is number nine who looks like she really needs to get her roots done, it’s worth a look for a giggle at that alone!
