I know that this paper plate emoji craft for kids was a big hit with my two as they’ve taken their creations into school and nursery today to show them off!

Although perhaps emoji crafts aren’t the first kids craft you’d think of (at three and six years old my two don’t exactly text yet) there’s something about emoji’s that really appeal to kids.

Perhaps it’s the big kid friendly faces, perhaps it’s that they’re a grown up thing that looks like a kids thing. I don’t know but either way this fun paper plate craft was a huge hit here so hopefully it will be for you too.

Dear Zoo Activities: Story Spoons

I’ve had a few ideas in my head for the last few weeks of some Dear Zoo activities and crafts but due to some issues with printers and *ahem* the kids using up every craft supply we own they just didn’t happen. I’m very excited therefore to finally be able to share with you these Dear Zoo story spoons. They’re easy enough for kids to make but they’re also simple enough for adults to create as a simple accompaniment to storytelling.

Paper Bag Uncle Sam – Kids Craft

With 4th of July coming up I thought it would be fun to share this easy paper bag craft for kids with you. We love crafts using materials that are easily available or crafting with recycled materials so this Uncle Sam kids craft is perfect.

Although we like in the UK rather than the USA I love teaching my kids about other countries celebrations and traditions, frankly they love any excuse to make something and have a bit of a celebration. This craft is also great because you can use it as a puppet once you’ve made it too so it’s perfect for keeping the kids busy and happy!

Wooden Spoon Minion Puppets

I’ve shared some Minion finger puppets before on this blog but with Despicable Me 3 due out soon I thought it was about time to try out another minion craft and so today we have these simple wooden spoon minions.
