I love autumn, maybe it’s because it’s when my birthday is (you do that too, right?), maybe it’s the changing colours or the excuse to live in a cardigan (pretty much my life anyway) but it is basically awesome. Last year I wrote up a list of advent calendar activities for kids and as I love the idea of making an effort to do something fun with the kids everyday I’m today sharing a month of fun autumn activities for kids.

Of course, you don’t need to do something every day (please don’t feel like you have to go foraging if you break your leg or something!) but it’s a great way to encourage yourself to celebrate and enjoy the seasons with your kids.

Last week I was set the challenge of coming up with an autumn craft that kids could do while on holiday and after a couple of attempts I’ve come up with this autumn tree craft that requires no paint or glue! Having spent quite a few holidays in cottages with my own kids I know what it’s like to try and have a bit of quiet time with them while also being mindful that you want to keep your holiday home nice. My four year old made this craft alongside me so she’s been my tester on the mess front for it!
