Scavenger Hunt Supplies
You don’t need lots of supplies for a scavenger hunt but there are a few which are essential and some which you might like to have in addition to these.
The printable itself is of course an essential! You can print it onto printer paper or white card stock if you want something a little sturdier.
If you’ll be going out and about you might also like a clipboard to lean it on.
Something to color in with is essential too but you can use a marker, coloring pencils or crayons, whatever is best for you.
Scavenger Hunt List
These are the items on your scavenger hunt that you’ll be looking out for:
- Leprechaun
- 4 Leaf Clover
- Pointy Shoes
- Lucky Horseshoe
- Top Hat
- Gold Coin
- Irish Flag
- Shamrock
- Bowtie
- Pot of Gold
- Bunting
- Barrel
- Rainbow
- Buckle
- Green Balloon
You’ll also find a little clothesline on the PDF where you can color the clothes in if you see someone wearing a green t’shirt, socks, dress or hat.
Check out the bottom corner of the scavenger hunt to where you’ll find a cute little leprechaun encouraging you to try out dancing an Irish jig.
Do You Need To Find Everything On The Scavenger Hunt List?
Absolutely not! I don’t know exactly what things you have in your home or what you will find when you’re out so this is purely a list of popular items you might find.
There are some things on your St Patricks Day scavenger hunt that you’ll hopefully find pretty easy to look for like an Irish flag, but there’s also things on it that might take a little bit more effort and a bit more of a hunt.
Don’t worry about finding every item, after all no one wants to have their day ruined because they have to keep hunting until they find that sneaky little leprechaun!
St Patricks Day Scavenger Hunt Prizes
Of course you don’t have to give out prizes at the end of the treasure hunt but it can be a nice way to turn this into more of a celebration!
At the end of the hunt you could give a small prize to everyone who takes part or do a particular prize for whoever manages to find the most items in their treasure hunt or the person who completes it the fastest.
Books always make great gifts in my opinion so some great choices might be The Secret Life of Leprechauns, How To Catch a Leprechaun or There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover.
If you’d like to gift a toy then how about a rainbow pop it, green slime or green playdoh? You can buy craft kits to make a leprechaun trap too which sounds like a fun activity. Stickers are always a really good choice for my kids too.
Candy of any kind is always a bonus round our house and chocolate gold coins are obviously a great treat for St Patrick’s Day, especially as they’re both low-cost and easy to share in a group.
More Free St Patricks Day Printables
We’ve shared lots of fun ways to get creative for St Patricks Day but these are some of my favourite free printables, I hope you like them too.
You can color in our printable St Patricks Day card with it’s pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It’s got a 3D design that will help it stand out from the crowd and there’s loads of choices for messages to include or you can write your own.
We’ve got a few freebies that are perfect for kids crafts or just as simple coloring pages. This free leprechaun template has two different designs so you can add your own features if you’d like.
We’ve also got this rainbow playdough mat that’s ideal for this celebration. You could add a little leprechaun’s pot at the end of your rainbow if you liked too.
