Seahorse Craft Ideas
Colouring: I always suggest that you can use our templates for this as it’s such an easy way to get creative and these printables would make such great seahorse coloring pages for kids too. Just grab your crayons, markers or coloring pencils and get started.
Tissue paper: This template is perfect for making our seahorse craft for preschoolers which uses scrunched tissue paper to decorate your seahorse outline. This is a fun sensory activity that my daughter loved making and it’s a great alternative to using scissors as well so it’s perfect for toddlers and children in preschool or kindergarten.
Resist art: Cut out your seahorse and stick it onto another piece of paper or cardstock. Now paint all around the seahorse using a sponge, pom poms or bubble wrap before removing your seahorse to give a negative space. This would work well on yellow or blue paper. Bleeding Tissue Paper: Make a gorgeous tissue paper seahorse craft following our tutorial. If you haven’t tried bleeding tissue paper before this is such a fun way to try out a new method of painting and using a spray bottle in activities is always really popular with my children.
Cut and paste: On a separate piece of paper or card paint and ocean scene with different coloured blue paints and then cut out your seahorse and paste it onto the scene. You could add some stickers to the background for other ocean creatures or why not try painting with bubble wrap for a great paint technique that looks like bubbles.
