It’s the second week in a row of poor health here in the Crafts on Sea household so I thought I’d take some time out to share some crafts and activities that put a smile on my face! I love rainbow crafts and activities, rainbows are a great way to teach basic science and weather to kids, they work brilliantly as St Patricks Day crafts and also my youngest’s name means Rainbow. What’s not to love about them?!
This rainbow salt painting from Mess for Less promises to brighten up any day and I think it would do that nicely!
Fun at Home with Kids explain how you cane mane these gorgeous rainbow foam bubbles while ideas for painting rainbows come from Hands On As We Grow’s rainbow sponge painting and Learn, Play, Imagine’s rainbow flour paint recipe. I love their post on how to make rainbow eruptions too, I know it’s a kids science experiment but I rather fancy doing it myself!
We love paper plate crafts so Housing a Forest’s paper plate rainbow would be great for us. I love the look of Playdough to Plato’s rainbow jar too and have been avidly studying the instructions!
Still Playing School have a cool rainbow pipecleaner craft and I adore the look of And Next Come’s L’s tutorial on rainbow dying oats for sensory play.
Finally The Imagination Tree’s giant rainbow collage should be enough to keep most kids busy on a rainy afternoon while Two Daloo’s puffy rainbow clouds look like great hands on rainbow fun. It’s ok to put your hands in a rainbow isn’t it?!
Grab our free rainbow template and try out some easy rainbow crafts for kids too.
We LOVE rainbows! Will be trying paper plate craft with toddler this weekend. Thank you for an idea!
Big fan of rainbows here. I love the idea of doing a big rainbow collage, and think it may become a half term activity in the inkspots household!
some great activities for half term!
