Printable Easter Cards to Color
Whether it’s the thought of Easter baskets, visits from Easter bunnies or the promise of chocolate eggs, Easter is a really exciting time of year for kids and I know that the Easter weekend is something that my kids really look forward to.
We started seeing Easter eggs in the shops in February so it’s no surprise that kids get so excited with it being on their radar for such a long time, plus after the cold and grey of the winter months I think it’s really nice to have something to look forward too.
If like me you’re looking for something to keep your kids entertained and having fun in the lead up to Easter then these free printable Easter cards are a great choice. Plus I think they’re something that grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends would all love to receive.
In the PDF file you’ll find three different pages of designs to choose from, they’re perfect for making at home but they’re also good for classroom use with older kids being able to do the cutting themselves.
The first design is one the one you’ll see in the pictures here with a spotty egg with ‘Happy Easter’ written on it and ‘To… Happy Easter Love From’ written on the back.
The second has a zig zag design on the egg and a dotted line to write on at the back of the chick while the final one has a blank egg for you to add your own design to. Why not draw on bunnies, cute chickens or flowers or add some glitter glue or stickers?

Easter Chick Card
First you’ll need to choose which of the cards you would like to make, you only need to print this one so make sure that you check your printer settings.
Print the card template onto paper or cardstock. Cardstock will make your card more durable but paper is still a great choice being a bit cheaper to buy and easier to cut.
Color in the chick and the front of your Easter egg.
Cut out all the parts of the printable including the front and back of the Easter egg and the front and back of the chick.
With the front of the egg that you have colored in you will also need to cut out the zig-zag line in the middle so that when you glue the parts together there is room for your chick.
Glue the front and back of the chick outline together. If you’d prefer, you don’t need to use both sides of the chick and you could just write your message on the other side of the chick that you’ve colored in.
Following the guidelines on the card template, glue the top and bottom parts of the front of the egg onto the back part ensuring that you only put glue around the outside edges and that you have left room in the middle for your chick.
Using a pen write your Easter message on the back of your chick and then pop it into the gap in your Easter egg.
You can put your Easter card into an envelope or give it to people as it is.
