Like this craft? We’ve shared a lot of Fathers Day cards for kids to make and one of our favourites is this fun ‘fintastic’ Fathers Day card that you can see in the video.
Let’s make it!
Start by cutting a large circle out of the gold card, you could draw around something like a cup to get the shape right but make sure that your circle is small enough to fit onto your card. Next cut out a smaller circle from white paper or card and write No. 1 DAD on it in black pen.
To make the straps for your medal use strips of washi tape, washi tape is great for kids as you can tear it rather than cut and (depending on what you are sticking to) you can often move where you have put it if your not happy with your first go.
For this craft I’ve used three strips of washi tape, two blue and one gold but go with whatever you have – while older kids will find placing the three strips of tape alongside each other easy enough for younger kids you will probably be better going with one thicker piece of tape for each side.
Once you have stuck your washi tape in place either trim the edges at the top using scissors or fold the edges over. Next stick your circular gold medal in place and the white circle in the middle of it, all it needs now is a message in the middle of your card!
