What You'll Find on This Page
Farm Craft Printable Activity
I love farm crafts as they’re something that can work with different topics all year round and I think that farm animals are generally something that kids are naturally interested in too.
Farm animal crafts are a great addition to spring topics due to animals being born, farms are perfect for fall, harvest and Thanksgiving crafts and of course you can use this alongside the nursery rhyme of Old Macdonald.
In the PDF file for this activity you’ll find two pages, with the first being filled with these animals – a pig, a cow, a goat, a horse, a turkey, a rooster, a sheep, an alpaca, a chicken, a duck and some ducklings. There’s also a barn, a trough some hay and a puddle for you to include.
The second page is a basic farmyard scene with a field ready for you to add all the items to.

Craft Supplies Needed
- Farmyard Craft PDF
- White paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Colored markers, coloring pencils or crayons
Farm Cut and Paste Craft
Start by printing both pages of the PDF on to white paper and then grab your colored markers, pencil or crayons.

You’ll need to color in all of the items on the first page and the farm scene on the second page.

There’s loads of animals to add to your craft so don’t worry if your second page looks less that perfect, when I make these at home if my kids or I make a mistake or smudge something then we just make sure that we cover that up with one of our cut out items.
Next is doing your cutting so grab your scissors and follow the dotted lines to cut out everything on the first page.

Finally glue all of your cut out items onto your farm scene, you might find that it helps if you start with the larger items such as the barn first so that you have room for everything at the end.
On the first page of the printable there is a small drawing of the finished farm craft however this is obviously just for guidance to give you an idea of the finished craft and you can glue each item wherever you please.

More Farm Activities for Kids
Over the years I’ve shared loads of fun farm animal crafts from hands on activities to free templates and printables to help you get started at home so hopefully you’ll find some inspiration no matter the age of your child.
I love this easy sheep craft made with pom poms and it’s a great activity for younger kids such as preschoolers or those in kindergarten too especially as holding the pom poms can help support fine motor skills.

Pigs have always been one of my favorite animals and this pig template is perfect for using as a coloring sheet or trying out some simple craft ideas together.

Finally if you enjoy our cut and paste crafts then why not try this build a tractor craft? I love this resource that looks great colored in and I think it would be a fantastic addition if you have a farm themed bulletin board planned or just as a fun craft to display at home.
