What You'll Find on This Page
Pig Template
When I was a kid was obsessed with pigs, I think they’re really cute and there’s studies that show they’re even more intelligent than dogs.
Strangely my parents were not quite so keen on the idea of a pet pig though so my obsession had to be kept to making some pig themed art. I guess a pig isn’t going to fit into most family homes!
Whether your child has a pig obsession, you’re learning about The Three Little Pigs or you’re taking a look at farms and farmyards this sweet pig template is a great option.
The first design is a basic pig outline while the second design also has eyes, a snout, a mouth and some spots on the pigs back.
You can pick your favorite or print them both and as they’re free to download they’d be great for using in a preschool or classroom too – I love the idea of a bulletin board filled with all our farm animal designs!
Pig Craft Ideas
Coloring
I love coloring as an easy activity for kids, it’s super quick to prepare and personally it’s always been something that my kids have enjoyed.
All you need to do is grab some coloring pencils, crayons or colored markers, print out your template and you’re ready to start.
Add Some Mud
Why not make a muddy puddle for your pig to play in?
You could draw one on with markers, use finger painting or painting with pom poms or for a super easy paper plate pig craft paint a paper plate brown and then cut out your pig and glue it on.
Tissue Paper
Glue on tissue paper squares or scrunch pieces of tissue paper into balls before gluing them onto your pig.
Torn Paper
If you have some spare colored paper or construction paper at home then why not try using torn paper as a way to color in your pig?
It really is as simple as it sounds, just cover your pig shape in glue and then tear your paper into pieces before sticking it onto your pig as a way to color it in.
If you’d prefer you could also cut your paper into shapes and then glue it down as a mosaic craft, it’s a great way to practice using scissors and to support fine motor skills.
