Build A Tractor Craft
As the weather gets a little warmer I know a lot of us start thinking more about the world around us as it springs into life!
We have a few farms near us and my kids love seeing the sheep and cows out in the fields and seeing the tractors out at work too.
This tractor printable is free to download so it’s perfect for making at homme if you have a tractor crazy kid and you want a simple activity that you can do together but likewise being able to print as many copies as you like also means that this is a great option for making in classrooms.
I think a load of colorful tractors would look really fun on a bulletin board and it would go really well alongside some of the farm animal crafts that I’m sharing below.
If you want to do some tractor activities with your child but they’re not quite ready for the scissor skills involved in this craft then why not grab our free printable tractor template?
It has two different designs and is perfect for using as a coloring page or for making some easy crafts together.
We also have some other free vehicle templates with a car design, an airplane and a boat so you could try a few at once.
Craft Supplies
- Build a tractor PDF
- White paper or cardstock
- Coloring pencil, markers or crayons
- Scissors
- Glue
Cut Out Tractor Craft
Start by printing the PDF onto white paper or cardstock. Cardstock will give a craft that’s a bit more durable and sturdy however it can be a bit harder for kids to cut.
Color in all the parts of your tractor, you don’t need to color in the parts that are greyed out because these will be covered by different parts of the craft.
Using a glue stick or school glue (PVA glue) dab some glue onto the main body of the tractor where the grey areas are and then stick on the drivers cab, window, ladder and large and small wheels.
Stick the centre part of the large and small wheels into the tyre shapes.
Glue the exhaust pipe onto the back of the tractor as shown in the picture on the printable and your craft is complete.
