Teddy Mother’s Day Card
I’m not someone who collects a lot of stuff but I do have a drawer in my house that collects all the Mother’s Day cards that my kids have given for me over the years. Shop bought or DIY I love them all but I must admit that the ones that my kids made themselves are particularly special.
Over the years I’ve shared quite a few free printable Mother’s Day cards so that no matter what your kids age they can have a go at making something special and I love this new addition to our collection (you’ll find some more ideas below).
No matter which design or greeting you choose for your card I’m sure it will be loved very much too.

Cut and Paste Mothers Day Card
Start by printing out both pages of the PDF file. If you are making this without sticking it onto a card background then you might want to print the file onto white cardstock but otherwise normal printer paper is fine.

Color in all the parts of the teddy bear body and then on the second page color in the parts that you will be using depending on whether you want your bear to be holding a balloon or a card. You don’t need to color in the parts that you won’t be using.

Using your scissors cut out all the parts that you have colored in.

First we’ll be making your bear so lets make its face by sticking the inner ears into place and gluing the nose on.

Glue your bear’s head onto their body, glue their bow tie under their chin and then finish your teddy bear by gluing the arms and legs into place.

Once your teddy bear is finished it’s time for the second part and here you can either go for the balloon or card option.
If you want to make your bear with a balloon then glue the balloon string to your teddy’s hand and stick your choice of heart shaped message to the top.
We recommend gluing your teddy’s ear to the edge of the heart to help make your balloon more stable and to stop your craft from getting damaged.

If you like you could glue this finished craft onto a piece of colored cardstock or construction paper folded in half to make it into a card.
To create the version holding a Mother’s Day card then start by gluing the card front to the card back part, you can do this by folding over the tab and then sticking to the back of the heart shaped card back.

Use a marker to write a message in the inside message heart shape and then glue this inside the card.
Finish by gluing the outside message to the front of the card then then stick the completed heart shaped card onto your bear so that they are holding it.
