What You'll Find on This Page
Coral Reef Craft
Coral reef crafts are a fantastic option for anyone learning about the ocean or as part of a topic on the environment, sadly we’re all aware these days of the damage that’s been done to them.
They’re also a great choice for kids who love animals or just as a fun way to help support your child’s scissor skills and coloring skills.
Download our printable PDF file and you’ll find two pages to cut and color, with lots of seaweed, shells and fish to color as well of course as some coral itself.
You can print as many copies of this design as you like so it’s perfect for using in a classroom as well as at home.

Craft Supplies
- Coral reef craft PDF
- White paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Colored markers or coloring pencils
- Colored cardstock or construction paper (optional)
Cut and Paste Coral Reef
Start by printing out both pages of the PDF file onto white paper or cardstock. If you want to make a sturdier craft then choose cardstock but if you plan on sticking the final craft onto colored cardstock or construction paper then normal printer paper is fine.

Color in all of the parts of your coral reef and the sea creatures that live in it. I’ve gone for pretty traditional colors but if you want to go wild with your coloring then go for it.

Next grab your scissors and cut out all of the different items, you’ll find a dotted line around each part to help you.
If I’m making a craft like this at home with my kids and they need a hand with the cutting out then sometimes I’ll divide it so that I do the harder parts such as the seahorse and they can do the easier shapes such as the sea bed.

When you are making your craft you can either make it as one piece stuck together or glue it onto colored paper, you may find that the second option is easier for younger children.
Start by gluing the seaweed and coral onto the sea bed as well as the tubular sea sponges, rocks and shells.

Now stick on your sea creatures and finally add your oxygen bubbles.

More Under the Sea Crafts and Printables
Under the sea crafts are popular all through the year but especially in the summer months when many of us take a trip to the beach.
As we live by the sea ourselves I’ve shared a lot of ocean themed activities over the years but these are some of my current favorites.
This seahorse template is free to download and I’ve shared lots of different ways that you can use it including this tissue paper seahorse craft which is really fun to make.

Looking for a something that’s super quick to prepare and really low mess? Why not grab our ocean color by numbers printable that has a color by sum option too.

Finally I adore this cut and paste turtle craft which would look great as part of a larger display on a bulletin board or just taped to your fridge.
