Today we’ve been making making this sweet dragonfly suncatcher craft. I don’t know about you but I think there’s something quite magical about dragonflies, I don’t get to see many and when I do they always look like they’ve flown straight out of a Harry Potter novel or something!

Both me and my daughter are obsessed with contact paper, me because it’s cheap and makes pretty stuff and it’s fab with crafts like this for fine motor skills so it makes for great crafts for toddlers. She loves the feel of it and the bright colours so this was a great craft for after pre-school.

Q-Tip painted ladybirds craft for toddlers

I love using q-tips for crafts(or cotton buds as they’re called here in the UK). They’re cheap, you probably have some in your bathroom cabinet and they’re great for practising fine motor skills – always a winner with crafts for toddlers. My youngest has been wanting to make a ladybird for a couple of weeks now but I couldn’t think of anything that she could have fun and enjoy without being too adult led. I think it’s ok to prep a couple of bits in advance to help, but she’s only two so I don’t really like telling her where to stick things, or telling her that she shouldn’t use the pink paint if that’s what she wants. Thankfully this ladybird craft for toddlers suited her perfectly, I’ll share a couple of ideas in the post about how to make this as easy and enjoyable as possible and also a couple of ways you could change up this ladybird craft for older kids.

Paper Plate Sun + Sun Crafts for Kids

We love sharing fun crafts for toddlers and this simple handprint paper plate sun craft is in fact the first craft that my daughter was involved in for this blog – even though she was only one she was determined to join in too!

This easy paper plate craft is simple to make, we’ve done it as a collaborative activity which would make it fun if you had a group of kids but it can easily be done with one child on their own making a really sweet keepsake.
