Jack O Lantern Craft Template
Halloween is a really fun time of year and it’s something that my own kids look forward to for months, however as a mom I also know how expensive it can be with candy, Halloween outfits and decorations all adding up.
We have loads of free Halloween printables that you can download, perfect for keeping your kids busy throughout spooky season.
Our craft templates are the perfect starting place for easy activities with your child whether you want to use them as coloring sheets, as something to paint or for a craft project and always share some ideas for how you can use them.
You can also print as many copies as you like making them ideal for classroom use too.
In the PDF file you’ll find three designs to choose from, the first is a basic outline of a pumpkin shape, the second has a little more detail with lines drawn on the main body of the pumpkin while the third page has the eyes and mouth drawn onto it to make it into a proper Jack O’Lantern.
Pumpkin Craft Ideas
Coloring
Coloring is always going a be a great option because it’s quick prep, low mess and you probably have everything you need already. Grab colored markers, coloring pencils or crayons and you’re ready to start.
Tissue Paper Squares
Glue colored tissue paper squares onto your pumpkin for a different way of coloring it in.
Suncatcher
Making a pumpkin suncatcher has to be one of my kids favorite Halloween activities that they’ve done and you could use this template to help give you the basic outline for your craft.
You can check out the full instructions for our craft here and you’ll see a video for how we made it on this page too.
Foil Painting
Our foil painted pumpkin craft is the perfect way for toddlers and preschoolers to paint their pumpkins and using red and yellow paint means they can learn about color mixing too.
Collage
Grab the scissors, glue and have a hunt around your craft supplies to make a mixed media collage with this template.
Construction paper and scrap paper are always great choices for adding to your template but why not look out for fabric scraps, fall leaves or yarn too.
