This free PDF pack is going to make it so much easier for you to prepare Halloween crafts and activities for your kids and I’m so excited to share it with you!
We’re really into cut and paste crafts at the moment and this build a ghost craft printable has ten pages that you can download, ready for you to grab the glue, practice those scissor skills and most of all have some fun together this Halloween.
Of course it totally helps that this makes great decor and your home or classroom is going to look fantastic with these displayed.
What You'll Find on This Page
Ghost Craft Printable
I love Halloween crafts but my kids normally leave it until the day before Halloween itself to decide they want something (everything) and despite writing this blog I’m always horribly underprepared with somehow no craft supplies in my house any not much in my bank account either. This time of year is expensive!
What I love about this this PDF pack is that as long as you have some scissors, glue and a printer you’re ready to go.
Of course there are more things that you can add such as cotton balls, markers, crayons or glitter but generally you only need those three to get started and as the file is free to download it’s not going to break the bank either. Phew!
Here’s what you’ll find in the download:
- Two swirling ghosts: These have spiral shaped tails and make great decor.
- Two quivering ghosts: One of these has a tail with straight lines that you can cut into it while the other has a wavey shape to their tail.
- Four ghost outlines: These friendly ghost outlines are ready to be cut out and decorated.
- Cut and paste ghost faces: Eight different designs from cute to scary that you can cut out and mix and match.
- Ghost accessories: What all the best dressed ghosts are wearing this season! Cute items including pumpkins, witches brooms and sunglasses.
Cut and Paste Ghost Craft
This ghost craft is so easy to make but there are loads of ways that you can personalise it by choosing the outline and features that you want.
First you’ll need to decide if you want to print your templates onto white printer paper or cardstock. Normal white paper is easier to cut but cardstock is a bit more sturdy so go with whatever one suits your activity best.
Choose your ghost body shape and cut it out. If you’ve opted for one of the swirling or quivering ghosts then you will need to do some additional cutting around your ghost’s tail.
Next pick your ghost’s eyes and mouth and cut these out. On the printable we’ve arranged these into sets but if you want to swap them over then you can.
If you’d like to you can now pick some accessories for your ghost and color these in before you cut these out too.
Finally use a glue stick or school glue (PVA glue) to stick your ghost’s features and accessories onto their body.
Build a Ghost Craft Adaption Ideas
Of course not all kids will want to do an activity exactly how I’ve set it out so here’s some ideas for how you can change it.
Cotton ball ghosts – pick one of the basic ghost outlines and cover the whole body in glue. Now stick on cotton balls to make cute puffy ghost crafts. You cut and paste one of our ghost’s faces onto this.
Add your own faces – don’t want to cut out our designs? Not a problem. If you’re making this with younger kids such as preschoolers or toddlers and you don’t want to do more complicated cutting why not just grab some coloring pencils, markers or crayons and get them to design a face for their own little ghosts.
Googly eyes – we always seem to have a load of these left over from craft packs, if you’re the same then glue them onto your ghosts to use them up!
More Free Halloween Printables

We have ideas suitable for all year round and of course we’ve got lots that are perfect for helping you to create a spooktastic Halloween.
Our build a spider printable is another design to help you practice scissors and these make great decorations too. You could hang these from the ceiling or the PDF file includes a spider’s web design too.
Our 3D haunted house is a new one and it’s instantly become one of my favorites too. This design is available in both a colored in design and a black and white outline that you can color in yourself.
Because it’s 3D you can also pop a LED tea light in it to make it light up!
Finally, we have loads of basic craft templates designed as a starting point to your project, no matter is that’s using as coloring pages, making mosaics or trying a resist art tutorial. With each one you’ll always find some ideas for simple crafts that you can try out.
This pumpkin template is great for Halloween activities but it’s also one that you can use for Thanksgiving or even for healthy eating or farm topics.
