Cut and Paste St Patricks Day Craft

we love simple St Patricks Day activities that you can do together at home with your child but of course will also work brilliantly in classrooms too – just print off a set of the printables for each child to color.

Coloring is a great quiet time activity and it’s one that loads of kids really enjoy too, plus this is a great excuse to practice scissor skills.

This free printable craft has two different pages for you to print.

The first has all the different items on it including clover, birds, gold coins, an Irish flag a sun and a rain cloud to make that gorgeous rainbow.

the second page is a background scene with grass, sky and a rainbow ready to aim towards your pot of gold.

You could also use this craft to help encourage storytelling with your child either verbally or as a literacy exercise. Where is the leprechaun going? What might he do with the gold?

Craft Supplies Needed:

• Cut and Paste St Patricks Day Craft PDF
• White paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Coloring materials – crayons, coloring pencils or colored markers

St Patricks Day Craft Scene

Start by printing both pages of the the PDF file out onto normal white printer paper.

Now you can color them in, grab your crayons, colored markers or coloring pencils and go for it!

I’ve colored in all of the second page but if you’re short on time you could always leave the sky and grass blank if that works better for you.

Grab your scissors and cut out all the items from the first page following the dotted lines on the sheet.

Start sticking the different pieces onto the background scene. I’d recommend starting with the leprechaun and pot of gold first to make sure that you have enough room on the picture for them.

Glue on all of the rest of your items to finish your St Patricks Day scene.
