Free Raccoon Template
Aren’t these raccoon templates super cute? There’s three different designs available meaning that you can choose the one that’s perfect for the craft or activity that you want to make with your child.
Each of the templates has slightly more detail, just print the one you want from the PDF pack or print all three if you want to make a load of raccoons. Of course you can print as many copies as you need as well so it’s perfect if you’re in a classroom and need thirty copies of something that’s pretty tricky to draw!

We have loads of free printable templates that you can use to help inspire your child. These are some of our favorite forest animal templates that I think would go perfectly with our raccoon template – you could even use these to make a great bulletin board display!
Raccoon Craft Ideas
Coloring – coloring is always a great choice with kids and it’s one that’s super easy to set up as well as one that you’ll probably have everything you need for already. Just print out the PDF you want and grab a black marker, crayon or coloring pencil and you’re good to go.
Mosaic – Grab the scissors and glue for an easy raccoon craft that’s great for kids of all ages, although you may want to do the cutting for preschoolers and kids in kindergarten. Look for black and white scrap paper or craft paper and cut pieces into shapes before gluing them onto your template. This can be a great excuse to talk about shapes with kids too – are they sticking down a square or a rectangle?
Pom pom painting – I love pom pom painting for a simple way that kids can create a textured look. Simply pour some paint onto a dish or tray and dip a pom pom in it before dabbing it onto your picture to color it in. If your child doesn’t like the feel of paint (or you’d rather avoid messy fingers as much as possible) then use a clothese peg to hold onto the pom pom.
More Forest Animal Crafts
We love hedgehogs and this cute paper hedgehog craft uses another of our free templates, making it super simple to prepare. It’s a great way to practice scissor skills too!
This resist art squirrel craft is loads of fun to make as the colors blend to make all different shades that are perfect for fall. It uses the free template I’ve linked to above and even young children can join in with this craft project as it basically involves covering a piece of paper with paint!
