Build a Raccoon Craft

I love raccoons but as they’re not native to where I live I can only presume that this is mainly due to my watching The Raccoons a lot as a kid and Guardians of the Galaxy a lot as an adult, I think they’re really cute and fun animals!

This cut and paste raccoon craft is a great way for kids to create their own raccoon and find out a bit more about these animals at the same time, as with most of our cut and paste crafts you’ll find a few facts about them on the printable too.

This is a really low prep craft for you to make at home but as you can print as many copies as you like it’s great as a classroom activity too.

Craft Supplies Needed

  • Build a raccoon craft printable
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Coloring pencils, colored markers or crayons

How To Make Your Cut and Paste Raccoon

Print your raccoon craft printable onto white paper or cardstock. I’ve used normal white printer paper to make my raccoon as it’s easier to cut but if you want something a little more sturdy then choose cardstock instead.

Color in your raccoon, you might want to make sure that you have some grey or black markers of coloring pencils ready for this.

Use scissors to cut out each part of your raccoon craft.

Glue the arms onto the main raccoons body and then stick on the legs before gluing on your raccoons tail.

To finish your raccoon craft make your raccoons face glue the inner ears, nose and ‘mask markings’ onto their face before sticking on their eyes.
